The revelation that are going to appease years of pining for a retro has turned attention back to King James’ first shoe – the. Most recently, sketches of the inaugural sneaker have surfaced that shed light on the intent behind the design.

Narratives abound in the sketches of the prototypes. Five-pointed crown logos and groups of five stiches on early drafts allude to a time when LeBron was meant to wear a corresponding number. And later, slender designs give way to boxier imaginings of a shoe inspired by LeBron’s Hummer H2 birthday present.
