Salomon Delve into Their Archive For Spring/Summer 2021 Collection
It’s fair to say that Salomon have played an integral role in the sneakersphere over the past few years, and it seems every season we see the hiking/trail-running moguls not only push their key silhouettes in epic new colourways, they also pull older models from the archive – bringing them back to life. And that trend looks set to continue for Spring/Summer 2021.
Delving into the Advanced collection, we have fan-favourite silhouettes the XT-4 ADV and XT-6 ADV which have both been given a slew of new colourways, with the clear standout being the loud purple XT-4. Another popular silhouette, the XT-Wings 2 ADV, has been given a new look with colourways inspired by natural landscapes and new construction – with a noticeable emphasis on lightweight construction, stability and protection. Another two notable editions to the lineup will be the XT-QUEST ADV and a reworked version of the XA-PRO FUSION ADV. Paying homage to the OGs of hiking footwear, Salomon have created a nostalgic ODYSSEY ADV which has been brought into the 21st century with their most innovative hiking sole yet!
For the real GORPheads out there, Salomon will also be bringing back their Black Edition line, which was a collection first released back in 2016. Their aim with Black Edition was to minimise colours on select silhouettes to emphasise the functional elements. This run of creps will include the S/LAB Cross Black LTO, S/LAB Phantasm Black LTO, and S/LAB Cross Black LTO.
Taking it to the early 2000s, Salomon are bringing two silhouettes back in their original form with the XA PRO boasting an asymmetric colourway, usual Quicklace eyelets, and link logo. The second silhouette to get its old look back is the leisurely S/LAB RX MOC, which has been built to reduce the physical stress on your feet for the most epic recovery experience.
The first batch of Salomon’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection should be arriving very soon at your local sneaker spot, wherever you are on the globe. Some have already dropped their pairs, while others will be waiting until early February.
