Salehe Bembury's expansive Rolodex of collaborative partners has grown by one, as the prolific designer recently took to his Instagram to reveal a brand-new Brandblack sneaker. The yet-to-be-named model fits comfortably in Bembury's colourful, highly-detailed, outdoors-centric design practice – and even manages to work in his signature fingerprint motif!
Uppers appear to be crafted from a mixture of synthetic materials in various tones and textures. Green, yellow, red, orange, blue and black all get in on the mix, and the most notable pieces in this medley are the topographical print and fingerprint patterns on the heel and eyestays as well as the rough texture on the mudguard. Chunky gum rubber Vibram outsoles round off the look.,
Brandblack is the latest outfit to work with Bembury, joining a star-studded lineup that also includes New Balance, ANTA, Crocs, Canada Goose, Studio Proba and Lexus. If his past collaborations are any indication, the Salehe Bembury x Brandblack sneaker is bound to fly off shelves upon release – so keep it locked here for more info as it's made available!
