sacai and Nike's retrofuturistic remix of the Cortez has been garnering a great deal of attention over the past few weeks, and now we've been given a closer look at its grey colourway. First revealed in sacai's FW22 lookbook, its muted shades offer a stark, elegant departure from the classic white, red and blue colour scheme Chitose Abe's brand used on their other pair.

As seen in the above photos from @solebyjc and @sneaktribe, the sacai x Nike Cortez offers plenty of sacai's signature doubled-up embellishments, from its extended heel and layered Swooshes to its duo of collars, tongues, laces and suede heel overlays. Of course, there's a large visible Zoom Air puck loaded into the forefoot as well, a signature performance piece of the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% that's been repurposed for lifestyle wear. Various black, wolf grey and steel grey shades are used on the top half, and are contrasted by white detailing plus olive green and bone hits on the midsoles.

At the time of writing, we've yet to receive a release date for the sacai x Nike Cortez collection. However, due to its inclusion in the above-mentioned runway show, we'll likely see it hit shelves sometime later this year.
