Jordan Brand seem to be cooling on the Air Jordan 1 colourways, but that’s opened up an opportunity to revive the popular KO version of the iconic silhouette. Following on from the recent release of the KO in Chicago, the Jumpman looks set to deliver another knockout punch in the form of a ‘Storm Blue’ colourway. Recent leaked shots and mock-ups (courtesy of House of Heat) give a taste of what we can expect.

Originally released in 1986 alongside the more storied High and Low version of the AJ1, the backstory of the KO is somewhat controversial. Many claim the ‘KO’ actually stands for ‘knock-off’ – a representation of the silhouette’s less premium construction and materials – and the traditional canvas upper base and chunkier styling certainly lends itself to that label. That said, this ‘Storm Blue’ colourway is sure to be a popular drop and a worthy follow-up to the sleeper success of the Chicago.

Blessed with its signature white, black and blue scheme, the sneakers canvas base is supported with blue overlays, while the black leather Swooshes and ankle collar deliver the offsetting darker tone. Additionally, you can expect the familiar ‘AJKO’ branding on the Wings logo, with a white midsole atop a black rubber outsole down below.

No release date has been revealed. Well let you know when we get the goss.
