RIMOWA Rework the adidas NMD S1

adidas have kicked off the next chapter of NMD with the new NMD S1 silhouette, and after Pharrell made it into a chunky hiking boot the Three Stripes have now tapped RIMOWA to put their spin on it. A German maker of luxury luggage most known for their aluminium suitcases, RIMOWA have brought a special touch of flair to the new-age lifestyle sneaker.

Seen in the above photos from @solebyjc, the RIMOWA x adidas NMD S1 uses brown and grey shades across its sock-like Primeknit upper. A touch of flair is provided by the hot infrared tone used on the laces and heel, while a small RIMOWA tag is affixed to the tongue. Insoles proudly display a 'Made in Germany' tag, nodding to adidas and RIMOWA's shared German heritage. Down below, blocky, BOOST-stuffed midsoles that use adidas Orignals' signature Trefoil logo in their traction pattern round off the look.

RIMOWA are no stranger to collaborations – they've worked with everyone from Supreme to Off-White and Porsche – but this adidas NMD S1 marks their first go-around with sneakers. At the time of writing, no release date has been announced. However, more details are likely to be revealed soon!
