Restock Alert! The Yeezy BOOST 700 ‘Wave Runner’ Returning
In 2017, Kanye West and adidas’ Yeezy label changed the game, hitting the sneakersphere with the first Yeezy BOOST 700 in the ‘Wave Runner’ colourway. Four years on, and the original 700 silhouette and OG colourway remains a fan-favourite among heads worldwide. Following that first drop, ‘Ye restocked the shelves again in 2018 and 2019, and now we’ve just received word that 2021 will also host a return of the sought-after iteration.
The OG Yeezy BOOST 700 boasts an upper composed mainly of mesh and suede, with a full-length BOOST midsole down below that’s been somewhat concealed, peeking through the outsole. Similar to every other Yeezy, minimal branding can be seen with small logos adorning the insole and outsole. The ‘Wave Runner’ colourway goes for a mostly-grey base and has been elevated with black overlays and pops of green and orange, with complementary yellow laces.
The news of this global restock comes straight from the sneaker sleuth yeezymafia. According to them, the Yeezy BOOST 700 ‘Wave Runner’ will be arriving at sneaker stores around the globe in August. So far, adidas hasn’t officially confirmed anything just yet, but we’ll keep you updated when they do.
