Release Info: Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v3 ‘Outside Clothes’ Drops This Week
First revealed via an exclusive preview in , the latest project from Chicago’s very own Joe Freshgoods will be the heartfelt ‘Outside Clothes’. The much-talked-about follow-up to the ‘No Emotions Are Emotions’ project from 2020, this latest collaborative colourway is a deeply personal Joe Freshgoods narrative, sourced straight outta the late 90s.
‘The name is “Outside Clothes”. It’s super deep for certain people,’ explained Joe in our exclusive Issue 45 interview. ‘My mom used to tell me, “You smell like outside!” or “Don’t get on the bed with your outside clothes!” That was a thing growing up. I wanted to focus on what city life was like in the late 90s in urban areas.’
Made in the USA, each pair will come dressed in blue mesh with brown suede overlays, with an added kick provided by the bright green accents and playful Freshgoods features. Quirky features include ‘Outside Clothes’ and ‘JFG’ embroidery alongside traditional New Balance branding, and ‘Made for Us’ printed towards the ankle collar. One thing’s for sure: the design is distinctly Joe!
