Reebok X Emporio Armani
Teaming high-end designers with sports labels is nothing new, but one look at the range for and we can see where function really meets fashion. Steering clear of over the top couture pieces, Emporio bring their knowledge of the street game to Reebok creating a capsule collection of apparel and footwear at affordable prices and wearable designs. Showcased back in January at the Milan Fashion Festival, the range is finally ready to drop with limited releases at Emporio Armani stores and Reebok Concept joints. Giorgio Armani S.p.A. and Reebok International Ltd. have today announced a global alliance to create a special collection, combining active style with sport and technology - the EA7 and Emporio Armani labels, with their sporty and sexy lines, team up with Reebok's innovation and technologies, resulting in the ultimate activewear concept.
The collection is infused with Reebok's sporting DNA and its unique fitness and training heritage, within the contemporary vision of one of the world's leading fashion designers.
The first ever EA7/Reebok and Emporio Armani/Reebok footwear collections were presented at Milan Fashion Week within the Emporio Armani menswear show as models walked en masse down the runway in nude underwear and the footwear from the collaboration on January, 16th 2010.
Distribution will be limited to Emporio Armani boutiques, select Reebok concept stores and preferred retailers worldwide, starting July 2010. For the US, the line will launch in August 2010.

Fall/Winter 2010 Collection
The debut of the collaboration between Giorgio Armani S.p.A. and Reebok International Ltd. provides a perfect combination of the worlds of sport and fashion: on one side, Reebok's sporting DNA, on the other Emporio Armani's glamour and style. The collaboration fuses Reebok together with both Emporio Armani and its EA7 sports range.

The Emporio Armani/Reebok collection presents a unique athletic footwear capsule defined by the intersection of pure sport and pure fashion, to create the ultimate innovative concept.
It offers four athletic footwear styles, for both men and women.
1. Mega Chic
A surprising dress sneaker with a decisive, impressive design that unites a sartorial construction with the most advanced technology. The lace up sneaker has a textured leather upper and a rubber injected hand-made leather sole featuring a shock absorbing DMX Heel Mega technology making it an extremely comfortable yet elegant shoe. The result is a contemporary dress style shoe with a retro sneaker design in black.
2. Pump Mega
A techno sneaker for connoisseurs, this men's shoe has a radical aesthetic which visibly applies Reebok technologies within Emporio Armani's fashion look and Italian know-how. Traditional dress shoe lines are reconfigured with iconic sneaker technologies; The Pump® is applied as an iconic retro design motif and DMX Mega® cushioning technology has been injected into the heel. The combination of a leather outsole in the forefoot contrasts with DMX technology yet results in a harmonious, unique sports-style shoe in sophisticated black.
3. Pump Vintage
This unisex shoe takes its inspiration from a retro court silhouette, applying the stylish design with sleek sneaker lines. A mix of technology, clean lines and street style, this leather sneaker with the PUMP has a comfortable glove-like fit. The two-tone rubber sole features a crystal effect, shock absorbing technology and HexRide®, an underfoot cushioning system wherein the sole is made up of lightweight, yet strong hexagon-shaped cells.
Pump Vintage is available as both a mid and low-cut constructed from leather/technical mesh material in white, black and black/blue colourways.
4. The Vintage Runner
The Vintage Runner, for men and women, was inspired by a retro running silhouette and re-visits key elements of Reebok's technical heritage alongside unexpected construction details and design from the world of Emporio Armani. Design cues in terms of proportion, line and detailing emanate from the 1990's but are updated within a contemporary touch.
EA 7 / Reebok - Footwear
The EA7/Reebok capsule collection fuses EA7's dynamism and sporty visual lines with Reebok's performance technologies, projecting style and design on the one hand and optimized performance and fit on the other.
1. Pump Runner 7
This stylish performance shoe features layers of functionality within the shroud of a performance lacing shoe, its profile refined by its zip closure. Reflective technology in the toe-cap is partially concealed within a technical mesh upper. Pump technology in the heel delivers customised comfort and fit. The sole features HexRide® technology, an underfoot cushioning system wherein the sole is made up of lightweight, yet strong hexagon-shaped cells. Colour fading and gloss printing augment the shoe's fashion qualities. Available in white/grey/yellow and black/fluorite yellow/red colorways for men and women.
2. The Runner 7
The Runner 7 is defined by its clean, unsculpted profile, affording the semblance of a lifestyle shoe. The juxtaposition of the retro profile with the HexRide® outsole brings a strong technical element to the shoe. Designed for both men and women, it is available in misty/starlight grey for men and white/magenta flash/grey for women.
EA 7 / Reebok - Apparel
The apparel is further inspired by the ‘alter ego' concept of sport and fashion and can be combined with the footwear for a confident, total look. Rich, luxurious fabrics from the fashion world of Emporio Armani have been infused with cutting-edge Reebok technologies to maximize comfort, fit and performance. Signature fashion detailing inspired by crocodile skin changes according to movement in the fabric and expresses a dynamic visual effect during performance.
For men, the apparel features sophisticated key colorways of black, misty grey and white, punctuated with fashion tones such as fluorite yellow for a confident, sexy look. Sleek, fitted running tanks and tops incorporate reflective branding, zip closure, bonded mesh panelling as well as PlayDry®, a moisture management system that wicks away perspiration. Stylish, highly functional running tights employ isolated compression for optimised functionality.
Long-sleeve technical tops utilise 2-way front zip detailing and elbow articulation. Running shorts incorporate X-static®, an anti-microbial, odour free, anti-static thermo-regulation technology. Fitness fleece hoodies with dual button closure, stand-up collars and built-in hoods are completed by kangaroo front pockets and branding on the left arm.
For women, relaxed fit harem pants are teamed with asymmetrically fastening hooded tops. The look is flattering, slim on the hips and baggy around the ankle, with snap button closure at the lower leg. A PlayDry® base layer moves moisture, accelerates evaporation and reduces abrasion without trapping the body's thermal energy. Slim fitting fitness pants, tunic dresses in magenta flash and double breasted snap button fleece hoodies compliment the fitness story.
Running apparel for women offers soft, supple, sexy fabrications. Chaffing is eliminated by the use of SmoothFit® technology which wraps around the body and creates interior surfaces that eliminate friction during movement. Running tanks show tonal crocodile print on the back mesh detail while running tights, tees and all weather H20 jackets complete the collection.
