The sneaker zeitgeist is in the midst of a heritage hoop revival. From the New Balance 550 to ASICS’ EX89, brands around the globe have continued to dig into their archive to resurrect long-forgotten basketball models. Reebok joined the party back in 2022, blessing the world with a reissue of their fan-favourite BB400 II – a low-top basketball sneaker from 1989. Kicking off the shoe’s journey in 2023, the ‘Bok launched a ‘Vintage Shop’ pop-up last week. Here’s what went down.

The ‘Vintage Shop’ kicked off in New York and ran for two days. Packed inside 57–59 Wooster was an event space kitted out with rare, handpicked vintage Reebok alongside the launch of the brand’s SS23 BB400 II offerings and a women’s-exclusive colourway. They had tunes pumping from local emcees DJ Milhouse and DJ9AM. Plus, you could get your hands on 1-of-1 garments with on-demand screen printing.
