To mark the recent release of the Candy Land x Reebok Classics collection, Hasbro and Reebok have teamed up to create an IRL Candy Land for the children of Rockdale County, Georgia. This will encourage the 500 members of the club and 180-plus kids a day to continue engaging with community fitness programs.

Court renovation experts and non-profit organisation Project Backboard helped re-imagined Candy Land as a vibrant and colourful basketball arena at the A.R. ‘Gus’ Barksdale Boys & Girls Club. Reebok and Hasbro have also donated 200 pairs of basketball shoes from the Candy Land x Reebok range to the members of the Boys & Girls Club.

Senior director of social purpose at Reebok, Kathleen Tullie, said, ‘We know how important movement and play is to children and envision a world where every child has access to play every day. Boys & Girls Clubs provide an essential space and resources for children across North America… We hope to continue to provide additional resources and curriculum through our BOKS program. Life is not a spectator sport and we’re committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be a participant.’

We see what you did there, Tullie – ‘Because life is not a spectator sport’ was a famous slogan Reebok used back in the 1980s for their advertising!
