Qubic this morning threw open their doors and took the wraps off their epic new Campus 80s collab, designed in partnership with New Zealand's mighty All Blacks. With punters queuing up from noon the previous day in the hope of snaring one of the ultra rare metal cased collector editions the anticipation was electric. All Blacks hero Liam Messam was on hand to sign shoes and take in the whole buzz, and the build-up was all captured on a 14 hour Skype telecast! Here's how Qubic kingpin Frank Liew summed it all up:

"At 10am it kinda descended into a bit of madness as quite a few people arrived on the dot expecting to pick up the shoes but had to settle for the regular version. Phone was ringing off the hook, had some mildly disgruntled people who expected to simply order the shoe over the phone. When the shoes went online at 12pm we received 8 orders in the first 5 seconds, and 20 more in the next few minutes, and sold out within an hour or so. Over 300+ people were trying to place orders concurrently through the site in the first 5 minutes. End of the day, very buzzy (or nostalgic?) seeing people still lining up for shoes."

Check out the action below and see our with Frank for a behind-the-scenes look at the historic project.
