The name Pushead is synonymous with the macabre, but it's not a death thing for the San Francisco-based illustrator - 'I see skulls as your inner person, as everyone has one.' His intricate and intense artwork first exploded in the early '80s on toxic, genre-defining album covers and t-shirts for bands like The Misfits, Metallica, Prong, Cavity, Rush, Soundgarden, Dr. Dre, Cocobat and Dr. Octagon, as well as skateboard brands Zorlac, Conspiracy, Zero skateboards, and Thrasher magazine, to name but a few. On top of that he's a record label owner and influential writer within the hardcore punk and thrash metal scenes. Teaming up with Altamont on three t-shirt designs for their Fall 2010 collection was a no-brainer given the apparel line is all about boundary-free expression! Read below for more.

About Altamont Apparel:
Cut from a different cloth...
Altamont inspires possibility in others by elevating and upholding a tradition of rebellious expression, as personified by those fearless artists and athletes whose input is combined authentically in each new Altamont collection to present a candid snapshot of the rich diversity of ideas and influences that energize the scene. Come visit Altamont this season as we celebrate the unlikely stories and unveil the inspired contributions of Toronto hardcore band Fucked Up, as well as that of legendary San Francisco-based artist/musician/label-owner/writer Pushead. All this in addition to new contributions from Andrew Reynolds, Bryan Herman, "Slash" Brian Hansen, Garrett Hill and the rest of Altamont's eclectic skate team.
