This upcoming ‘Iridescent Dreams’ edition is a little bit more low-key than previous editions, but it still rewards owners with a slew of subtle details to appreciate up close.
The colourway name is derived from the near blackout upper that features choice iridescent purple hits throughout. References to Ball’s motifs of ‘Not From Here’, ‘1 of 1’ and his brand logo are scattered throughout with dazzling effect. The embroidered overlays and midsole reinforcement also add a glossy black layer for extra texture. Subtler details include a galaxy-inspired graphic on the insoles, a treatment that has carried over from previous MB.01 colourways.
Of course, there’s also a bunch of tech loaded in the MB.01 that holds up to the player’s top-flight status in the NBA. This includes PUMA’s Nitro Foam technology for explosive responsiveness, mesh uppers with welded overlays, and a practical mid-cut ankle height that allows freedom of movement while providing just enough support.
