Get A Look At An Unreleased Prada x adidas Luna Rossa 21 Colourway
Prada and adidas have been working together since 2019, and in that time span, they've done everything from producing ultra high-grade Superstars to adding functional pouches to the Forum. However, their most unique footwear undertaking was 2021's Luna Rossa 21, a hybrid sneaker that took the silhouette of the Prada America's Cup and brought it into the future with synthetic uppers and BOOST-cushioned midsoles. The Luna Rossa 21 was released in both white and silver colourways, but now a look at an unreleased sample pair has surfaced.,
Held in the collection of sample collector and sneaker leaker @woganwodeyang, this Luna Rossa 21 is significantly more colourful than its counterparts. Where Prada's signature red shade was largely relegated to the heel on the retail pairs, this sample splashes it across the upper, eyestays and heel to show off the shoe's sleek shape. It's contrasted by a familiar silver, and dashes of black appear on both the toe bumpers and the tongue.
There's no telling if this sample will ever come to retail shelves, so let's hope that Prada and adidas have more Luna Rossa 21s on the way in the future – it would be a shame if we never had a chance to cop these bad boys!
