Pharrell’s Winterised adidas Hu NMD S1 RYAT Arrives in Black

Update October 14, 2022: adidas and Pharrell have confirmed the release of the NMD S1 RYAT Black. Accompanied by visuals from graffiti artist GANGBOX, the technically designed RYAT is an evolution of the NMD franchise with outdoor-ready details added courtesy of Pharrell and his label Human Race.
The NMD S1 RYAT Black is available on the adidas CONFIRMED app and launches through , and select retailers on October 15, 2022.
As Pharrell and adidas' collaborative relationship approaches a decade, the two partners have continued to push the envelope of the NMD line with their longstanding Hu NMD efforts. Now, Skateboard P and the Three Stripes have given the Hu NMD its most rugged, boot-like makeover yet: the Hu NMD S1 RYAT, recently revealed in on-foot shots from .
Essentially a high-top iteration of the , the RYAT has debuted in a murky black colourway that plays up its boot-like details. Sitting atop its blocky, brutalist midsole and Trefoil-patterned outsole is a high-cut nylon upper, protected by a large rubber mudguard that wraps from heel to toe. This assemblage is further enhanced by large perforated plastic overlays and hits of shaggy suede. Skateboard P and always want to work some playfulness into their products too, so they've added bright blue, hot red and cool grey to the heel and collar details. An embroidered Humanrace hit on the tongue rounds off the look.
