Rumours began circulating earlier this year that Dior Men’s creative director, Kim Jones, was getting another Nike collaboration, this time on two editions of the Air Max 95. These leaked ecomm images confirm the existence of one of those colourways, and it’s quite different to regular AM95 makeups.

The combo of white, grey and orange is actually fairly sympathetic to OG AM95 conventions, but Jones’ colour-blocking is unique as the upper ditches the usual ‘greydient’ effect. Instead, the dark grey midsection is tonal, with dashed line printing creating a faux perforation look that references turn-of-the-millennium performance footwear. White toe caps and heel counters border off the lower section of the upper, while the tongue and lining are blacked out. Up top is where some intriguing changes are made, namely the use of ‘Total Orange’ arrowhead-shaped lace loops instead of the usual parallel type. On the opposite end of the sneaker meridian, ice soles depict an oversized Nike Air logo, offset by the PSI-marked shank. Finally, Jones puts his name on this colab with a small logo on the lateral heel counter.

It certainly isn’t a conventional AM95, and it’s likely the other colourway in this pack will follow the same colour-blocking, while switching out the orange for ‘Volt’. Stay tuned for the leak that’ll inevitably come.
