Ozzy Osbourne x adidas Birmingham Is Born to Raise Hell

have just unveiled an ultra‑limited Birmingham edition of its iconic City Series – paying homage to the hometown of heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath and its most famous son, Ozzy Osbourne. Dressed in rich purple suede and jet black leather, the sneaker channels the band’s underworld aesthetic.
Design details go beyond the surface. Each pair features a custom insole illustration of a bat, while the tongue tags are stamped with Ozzy’s unmistakable gothic letterform, sealing the collaboration with his personal stamp of approval. Look closer and you’ll spot gold foil letterform spelling 'Birmingham' on the lateral side and 'Villa Park' on the medial – two proud nods to the city and the sacred home of Aston Villa FC. Every pair is individually numbered from 1 to 121.
The drop coincides with Black Sabbath’s historic ‘Back to the Beginning’ reunion concert at Villa Park on July 5 (referenced on the inside of the tongues), a hometown send-off featuring Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Of course, it’s not the first time metal and sneakers have shared a stage. Over the years, the worlds of rock and footwear have collided in some truly iconic collaborations. In 2003, Sacramento’s Deftones teamed with for an ultra-rare – just 43 pairs were made. That same year, Iron Maiden’s mascot Eddie featured on a now-mythical with a translucent Swoosh. Meanwhile, the Melvins served up blood-splattered Nike SBs with ominous graphics in 2005.
Unfortunately, unless you're in tight company with The Prince of Darkness himself, don’t expect to get your hands on these. For now, we’ll just have to admire from a distance.
