Out July 1: 'SoleSeekers' Documentary Explores UK Sneaker Culture
is the UK’s first-ever feature-length documentary on UK ‘trainer’ culture, shining the light on the local collectors and personalities, as well as exploring the impact of the digital age, resellers, and bots.
Award-winning director and born-and-bred South Londoner Emil Socialize (Socialize Media) directs an honest journey of the local trainer revolution, documenting the eras from the ‘Football Casuals’ during the 70s and 80s, rave and hip hop culture in the 90s, year-2k garage ravers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and beyond.
The doco includes stories and recollections from avid collectors such as , Robert ‘Brooksy’ Brooks (adidas collector), and Magdi Fernandes, among others.
