Throughout this year, adidas have taken their 4D tech mainstream. We’ve seen END. tackle the EVO 4D, a ZX Carbon, and Stella McCartney tap the AlphaEDGE 4D. And it seems Team Trefoil are now looking to branch out, because we’ve just received our first ever look at the IIM 4D from industry insider YankeeKicks.

The upper has been constructed using Primeknit, and boasts a similar look to the UltraBOOST Uncaged. The IIM 4D, however, rocks holes that have been punched into both the medial and lateral sides, and sits alongside specialised piping that’s secured by silver tips. Team Trefoil has also incorporated the two new editions to work in with the lacing system, which is pretty neat. The sock-like collar looks to be uber-comfy, and will surely keep your feet secure and snug. The silhouette has been perched atop the intricate 4D midsole, looking slightly slimmer than their previous offerings.

For the debut colourway, adidas went bold, choosing to go with a grey and silver mix, with eye-catching pops of colour woven into the toe box.

The pair shown above is a sample, so there’s no confirmation that it’ll ever see a release, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated if it does.
