Restock: Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 ‘Kill Bill’
In case you missed it, the is having something of a renaissance in the sneakerspace right now. We documented the last year, unpacking why it’s the centre of attention in 2023. And after factoring in its Game of Death origins with Bruce Lee (although that was the Tai Chi silhouette) and the fact it’s a slick, slimline and versatile shoe with a reasonable price point, it makes perfect sense that the Mexico 66 is the moment.
While it’s never been officially classified as the hype shoe, it’s always been a low-key heater that’ll come through for you. With it currently in the midst of a micro trend phase whipped up by the digital fashion community, wide size runs – predominantly in the ‘Kill Bill’ colourway – have flown off shelves both IRL and online. That means you probably haven’t had much luck if you didn’t get your hands on a pair early.
