Official Pics: The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Matsuri’ is a Japanese Celebration
The Summer Games are set to kick off in Tokyo, and while these recently revealed Nike Air Force 1s aren’t an official drop for the occasion, they’re still a vibrant nod to Japanese culture. Releasing to celebrate 2021’s ‘Matsuri’ (the Japanese word for festival or holiday), these wild Uptowns feature a swag of contrasting tones and materials synonymous with the occasion.
The various panels feature a mix of floral patterns and dots in a range of colours ranging from blue to red to purple. The heel tab is decorated with a large ‘Matsuri’ symbol, with the insoles also wearing the eye-catching design, while the Swoosh and tongue label arrive with a tan suede construction. If that wasn’t enough, the off-white midsole sits atop of a translucent outsole to cap off the design.
We’ve got the official pics, but no official release details for the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Matsuri’ just yet. We suspect a drop isn’t too far away, so stay tuned for more info.
