Update April 26, 2022: Originally thought to be a Friends and Family edition, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Green’ may potentially release in conjunction with the Brooklyn Museum’s Virgil Abloh ‘Figures of Speech’ exhibit (scheduled to take place between July 1st, 2022 through January 29th, 2023). Stay tuned for more information to come and in the meantime, check out the fresh batch of imagery from @prvt.selection.
Denim Tears founder, No Vacancy Inn co-founder and recently named Supreme creative director Tremaine Emory was a close personal friend of the late Virgil Abloh, and has long had access to Abloh's rarest creations. He was one of a few lucky individuals to receive a pair of the Friends and Family only Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1, and he recently took to the Denim Tears Instagram Story to show off a special Off-White x Nike colab: an unreleased Air Force 1 in green.
From a colourway standpoint, the mean-in-green AF-1 follows the colour scheme of past Off-White classics like the MoMA, MCA, ICA and ComplexCon pairs – that's to say it features a monochromatic upper and midsole, adorned with Helvetica text and centred around a bold metallic silver Swoosh. This pair is likely a pre-production sample, but there's a possibility it's associated with Abloh's forthcoming posthumous 'Figures of Speech' exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, which opens this July. However, neither Nike nor Off-White have announced plans regarding future releases since Abloh's passing in November 2021.
Get your first look at the pair above and keep it locked for updates as they're available!
