Virgil Abloh’s tragic passing in November last year shook the world, we all saw how many people he reached and the lives he touched with his designs. He had a tireless work ethic, cooking up countless collaborations, helming his Off-White label, DJing parties and all while being the artistic director for Louis Vuitton menswear. Of course, being who he was, there were a slew of projects that had already been completed before his passing including a dual Blazer Low collection with Nike. With the blessing of Shannon Abloh, Abloh's wife, the rollout will continue on schedule.
Arriving in two colourways, a White/University Red and Black/Electro Green, they pull inspiration from other Swoosh-branded products created by the designer, utilising the extra set of laces from the Dunk Low colab and cut-out circles seen on the Off-White x AJ5. Interestingly, during the design process, Abloh actually asked ‘Can we… splice the real Humara tooling and fuse it into a vulcanized sole,’ which explains the long and perforated midsole unit.
Both the White/University Red and Black/Electro Green Off-White x Nike Blazer Lows have been scheduled to arrive at a small group of retailers on April 8. We’ve whipped up a Where to Buy guide down below so you have the best chance at securing your pair.
