The Oakley Chop Saw Gets Cut Down to a Mule

Update June 5 2023: Brain Dead and Oakley have announced another colourway set to arrive in their upcoming mule-ified Chop Saw collection. Along with ‘Brown Jacquard’ and ‘Black Ostrich’, the pack will include a ‘Gray’ iteration, pictured above.
The Brain-Dead-designed collection draws on material differences like ostrich leather and high-quality jacquard to ‘feed off the rich kinetic energy of change’ and emphasise the Chop Saw’s morphological evolution.
The Oakley Factory Team Chop Saw Mule Collection’s ‘Brown Jacquard’ and ‘Black Ostrich’ editions will be available at 10:00 AM PT on June 6, while the ‘Gray’ Chop Saw mule is yet to receive a release date. In the meantime, check out the images above and hit the links below to cop come drop time.
are currently having a moment in sneakers, with the GORPcore wave continuing to be on the uptick. With mules and slides becoming the norm in a lot of people’s shoe rotations, the Oakley Factory Team has now taken their Chop Saw silhouette and fittingly chopped it down to a mule.
We get a detailed look at two upcoming colourways, ‘Black’ and ‘Maroon/Espresso’. Opting for two different materials on their respective colourways, the all-black pair opts for a faux ostrich upper with the maroon/espresso colour using a mesh upper, both featuring neoprene to help secure the foot in the laceless mule. The Chop Saw’s signature toothy midsoles are still featured, with the black pair using grey and black and the maroon/espresso featuring an earthy tan and brown.
