Update Aprul 27, 2023: Nike are bringing back the Zoom Generation on May 10 – hit the link below to cop this upcoming greyed-out combo.

Originally released in 2003, the Nike Air Zoom Generation was LeBron James’ debut signature shoe. Setting the tone for the next two decades, the model is still beloved among hardwood fanatics, the silhouette famously inspired by LeBron’s Hummer H2 vehicle.

The latest retro to arrive is composed featuring ‘Dark Grey’, ‘Wolf Grey’, and ‘Anthracite’, the minimalist design allowing all of its trademark design DNA to shine through. Constructed in a mix of nubuck, suede, and mesh, the mixed material blend adopts ‘Anthracite’ on the toe trims, heels, eyestays, tongues and heels.

Featuring a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and carbon fibre shank plate for support, the silhouette was designed by the Nike dream team Tinker Hatfield, Eric Avar and Aaron Cooper. Initially arriving in a black, red and white colourway, the Zoom Generation’s debut hues paid homage to LeBron James’ college alma mater and featured ‘LBJ 23’ on the tongues – a nod to the king’s jersey number.
