'Seattle Supersonics' Revived in the Nike Terminator High
The High is set to return in another new revival colourway, this time for the ‘Seattle Supersonics’ fans. First released in 2004 in the Nike Rewind Collection, this colourway pays homage to the Seattle basketball team. The revival comes at an interesting time for the team, who had to fold in 2008 due a lack of funding, as there are about the Seattle Supersonics potentially coming back to the NBA soon.
Even if we don’t get the NBA team back, at least we have the Nike Terminator returning. While the silhouette is often known for its two-tone design, the ‘Seattle Supersonics’ bring a third into the mix. The colourway is dominated by ‘Black Forest’ and ‘Del Sol’, with pops of white on the Swoosh, midsole and heel cap. The OG 2004 pair had 71 on the tongue tag, as the colouring honoured the 1971-72 uniforms, but the revived edition has 79. This is potentially to celebrate the year the Supersonics won their only NBA championship.
There’s no official date for the Nike Terminator High ‘Seattle Supersonics’ yet, but it’s expected to be sometime at the end of this year. Stay locked to SF for the official release details.
