Nike Are Being Sued for Alleged Software Piracy
are being sued by an IT administration company for the alleged piracy of their software. Californian company Quest, who provides companies with tech to manage databases, says that Nike used cracks to gain licenses to proprietary software.
As the , an audit revealed ‘that Nike had used pirated keys to bypass the Quest License Key System and made unauthorized copies of certain Quest Software Products by breaking the technological security measures Quest had in place.’
If Nike are found guilty, they’ll have to pay an undecided sum to Quest — and likely stand on shakier ground next time they sue counterfeit sneaker producers.
