Over the years, the Nike Dunk has represented many American colleges with clean two-tone makeups boasting their team’s colours. With the recent resurgence in hype surrounding the silhouette, Team Swoosh has been either bringing them back or reworking the older colourways. Taking us back to 2005, Nike SB has comeback with their Dunk High ‘Iowa’, but this time in reverse!
Representing the Iowa Hawkeyes Football Team, the OG boasted a dual-hue makeup using a black leather backdrop and yellow suede overlays. The 2021 version switches it up completely, with ‘Varsity Maize’ splashed on as the main colour, while laying black over the top matching the outsole and laces. Unlike the 2005 version, this pair will rock a full-suede upper opposed to the leather and suede combination. Rounding it all out is the white midsole down below.
Official images of the 2021 Nike SB Dunk High ‘Reverse Iowa’ have come through, meaning a release shouldn’t be too far away. An exact date is unknown at this point, but it’ll retail for around $110. We’ll keep you updated when the drop nears.
