Nike's Latest Hairy and Furry Air Max 95 is 'Wild'
It’s that time of year again, when starts unveiling their for sneakerheads living north of the equator. As newsfeeds fill with classic silhouettes dressed in weather-ready materials, the next on the list is the ‘Wild’, which lives up to its name thanks to some interesting textile upgrades.
The colourway itself is highly wearable, with a neutral combo of ‘Enigma Stone’, white, ‘Oatmeal’, and ‘Light Bone’ dressing the upper and sole unit. Look closer, however, and things take an unexpected turn, with fur material on the inner lining and hairy suede overlays on the toes and sides. You’ll also find ‘Wild’ branding on the tongues, and 3M reflective details on the heels. In a nice throwback touch, a nostalgic Nike Hike Man graphic has been printed on the insoles, reaffirming the sneaker’s outdoor-ready build.
The latest ‘Wild’ rendition adds to previously revealed and colourways, perhaps signalling Beaverton’s intention to make the 95 a key player in their winter sneaker lineup. If that’s the case, we’re all for it…
