Nike Pull Inspiration From TV Colour Bars For the Air Max 97
The has been quietly succeeding throughout this year, with iterations that contain subtle details, helping to maintain the design’s lofty status, and keeping the sneakersphere talking. Next up, Team Swoosh have taken inspirational cues from TV colour bars to deliver a low-key tonal combo that brings a serious pop of colour.
Starting with the upper, Nike have placed mesh as the base with touches of leather and suede on the overlays. From the official images above, we can see a corduroy hit around the panel in the mid-section, which is a nice touch. As usual, reflective piping lays down either side with two mini-Swooshes along the lateral side. A grey tonal look has been used for the upper, with a white midsole down below. The TV colour bar inspiration can be seen in the form of a gradient Air Max bubble, and on the specialised tongue label.
The details are insane on this Nike Air Max 97! Sadly though, there’s been no word of a release date just yet, but we suspect that it’ll drop over the coming few months and retail for $170.
