Nike Raising Prices in the United States

The current state of the global economy and the political landscape in the US have meant that prices are rising for everyday folk, and now the situation is about to hit sneakerheads where it hurts. According to Complex, sneaker industry insiders have indicated that prices will increase this June.

Prices are allegedly increasing at rates between $2 and $10 per product, but won’t affect every single product across the board. According to the source, exclusions to the planned price hike include apparel and accessories, kids’ apparel and footwear, and all footwear already priced under $100. It’s also indicated that the , which retails for $115 in the US, will not increase in price.

Nike allegedly told their third party retail partners of the upcoming increases this week, along with the news that wholesale prices will be going up in July when the brand’s Fall 2025 season begins. ‘We regularly evaluate our business and make pricing adjustments as part of our seasonal planning,’ Nike told Complex.

The source stated that Nike haven’t mentioned in relation to price increases, but have instead attributed the rise to ‘expected inflation’ and ‘economic conditions’. The current fiscal year will close out on May 31, which is when the price hikes are set to take effect.
