Nike Prepare a Murdered-Out Air Max 96 II
Already this year, we’ve seen Nike give some major love to one of their lesser known cult creps: the Air Max 96 II. Following the long-awaited retro of the ‘Goldenrod’ iteration, which was one of the OG colourways, and the celebratory Fourth of July edition, Team Swoosh have decided to go a little low-key for their next venture.
Employing the classic ‘Triple Black’ look, it suits the Air Max 96 II so much that we may even have to update our All-Time Greatest feature on the best ever murdered-out releases.
In fact, the whole shoe has been completely murdered-out, with no colour in sight! The upper, as you would expect, has been constructed using a mesh base with nubuck overlays showing off that aggressive tooling. Air Max branding features on the heel and tongue, with Swooshes down the sides. If you’re walking at night, don’t fret, because reflective detailing has been scattered throughout.
Official imagery of the blacked-out Nike Air Max 96 II has come forward, which means a release shouldn’t be too far away. We’ll let you know when an exact drop date gets locked in.
