After a long campaign that dashed hopes and realised dreams, the amount raised by the Nike Mag has been announced. In a tweet that came from the Michael J. Fox Foundation, it was revealed that a whopping $6.75 million USD was raised through the draw and two auctions alone.

That’s more than a million clear of the amount raised in the 2011 auctions – and was achieved with under ten percent of the product. Don’t forget that the New York auction is still to come. As part of the Michael J. Fox benefit gala, it will be a star-studded affair and is likely to amass the most bank yet. Furthermore, the final amount raised is going to be doubled – meaning the Nike Mag is poised to put some $15 million USD towards Parkinson’s research.
