After last night's fracas with Detroit Pistons forward Isiah Stewart, LeBron James is back in the headlines again. This time, though it's for a much more positive reason – namely that his LeBron 9 'Big Bang' will be retroing in 2022 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

First released as part of Nike's legendary 2012 NBA All-Star Game pack, which also included the Air Foamposite One 'Galaxy', the 'Big Bang' is often regarded as one of King James' best sneakers ever. It also serves as a totem of a different time in NBA history, when James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh ran the league with the Miami Heat.

The 'Big Bang' boasted a cosmic theme drawn from the Kennedy Space Center, located in the 2012 ASG's host city of Orlando. Apart from its blaze orange upper, it's also notable for special embellishments like a galaxy-printed liner and midfoot shank, flight-inspired eyestays, a special tongue badge, hi-vis reflective detailing and a glowing green outsole.

Nike have been tight-lipped about retro plans for the 'Big Bang', but there's a good chance it'll touch down in February 2022, likely around when the All-Star Game is taking place.
