The Nike Kobe 9 Elite 'Christmas' Returns in Protro Form in 2024
Christmas Day is a big deal for the NBA, and with eyes across the globe glued to the league, footwear brands have used the holiday to preview or debut what’s to come. As have dropped the for the holidays, the Swoosh have plans for 2024 as the ‘Christmas’ is returning in Protro form for the first time.
Originally launched in 2014, the Kobe 9 Elite ‘Christmas’ dropped in a Holiday collection alongside the Nike KD 7 and LeBron 12. The candy cane theme is front and centre as red and white hues make up the Flyknit upper with black hits seen on the Swoosh and Shozoku logo. Lunarlon was used in the original Kobe 9 Elite, and details are unknown if the cushioning setup will be changed but expect a softer iteration of Flyknit as the woven upper has evolved over the years. A scattered confetti print makes up the outsole to finish off the sneaker.
