Fortnite Joins Forces with Nike for Airphoria Vol. 2: Enter the DN Dimension

Fortnite and Nike are powering up yet again for another virtual drop, with the ‘Airphoria Vol. 2: Enter the DN Dimension’ collection coinciding with Air Max Day in 2024.

Following up from their ‘Airphoria’ release in June 2023, the collaboration is available in a virtual space where gamers explore surreal portals disrupted by Dynamic Air. To save Fornite’s new hero – the appropriately named Max – users must collect four Air Chambers that will activate the new sneaker grail. Gamers will also be able to score new cosmetics in the Fortnite Shop, including Eclipse and Airphorian skins, both of which come with the brand new Air Max DN footwear. In the previous Airphoria instalment, Airie was the villain thwarting Max’s attempts to add missing Air Max grails to his collection (wait, is Airie the SNKRS app?).

Of course, the Fortnite universe is no stranger to hyped virtual drops. In 2020, a virtual Travis Scott performed at Sweaty Sands, with users even able to purchase his Air Jordan 1 collaboration with Nike. The Air Jordan 11 ‘Cool Grey’ capsule also appeared in Fortnite in 2021.
