Nike's 'Move to Zero' sustainability push isn't just focused on high-end running shoes or wild ISPA releases: it extends to classic lifestyle kicks as well. Of course, the Dunk Low is one of the Swoosh's most popular lifestyle silhouettes – so they've given it many a 'Next Nature' makeover, the latest of which to appear is a two-tone dark red and black colourway.

A 'Next Nature' Dunk is to a regular Dunk what a vegan hamburger is to a regular hamburger. That's to say that upon first glance it may appear completely identical, but upon inspection some small-but-significant details become noticeable. Here, these details are provided by a speckled outsole pattern that indicates NikeGrind construction and a bright volt insole with Nike Sportswear's Sunburst graphic, both of which are 'Next Nature' staples. However, the rich red and black colourblocking offset by the white midsole looks as if it could have come right out of 1985!

The Swoosh may be on to something here: not everyone who wears sustainable shoes needs or wants their sustainability to be broadcasted. Some of them may just want a shoe that looks like the original thing did, and the 'Next Nature' Dunk is just that.

A release date for this colourway has yet to be announced, but it should touch down on the Nike webstore and at select stockists in the coming weeks. When it does, you can expect to plunk down $105 for a pair.
