WNBA Legend Lisa Leslie Inspired This Nike Dunk Low

It's been almost 20 years since Lisa Leslie became the first WNBA player to dunk in a game, and now have made up a special iteration of the in celebration of the Basketball Hall of Famer's iconic slam. Drawing from the colours of Leslie's Los Angeles Sparks, the special low-cut are a bright and colourful homage to one of the WNBA's greatest players of all time.
The Sparks share a colour scheme (and an arena) with the Los Angeles Lakers, so Leslie's Dunk Low is done up in purple and gold leather. This familiar combination of shades is given some extra personality by teal Swooshes and tongue detailing, the third colour of the Sparks' uniforms. White midsoles, black outsoles and black laces bring a touch of yin and yang into the look, and a finishing pop of detail is supplied by Leslie's #9 embroidered on the lateral heel.
Nike have yet to announce an official release date for this Lisa Leslie-inspired Dunk Low, but the 20th anniversary of Leslie's iconic Dunk will be on July 30 – so it's not unreasonable to assume the shoes will be dropping around then.
