Nike Chop Up the Dunk Once Again To Create the Dunk Low Disrupt 2
If Nike were aiming to be, well, disruptive when they created the Dunk Low Disrupt in 2021, they certainly achieved that goal: the super-sized (and often super colourful) sneaker provided a striking alternate take on the OG Dunk Low. Now, the Swoosh are back to their disruptive ways in 2022 with the Dunk Low Disrupt 2, a new model that discards the oversized embellishments of its predecessor but boasts plenty of chopped, hacked and altered details of its own for a unique look.
Debuting in a 'Malachite' colourway that combines signature green with simple sail and just a pinch of breezy blue, the Dunk Low Disrupt 2 plays with shapes more than proportions. There's a shield-like hard rubber heel overlay, a double-stacked set of eyestays with an asymmetrical pop down by the toebox, altered Swooshes both large and small, off-centre tongue branding, among other alterations. In short, there's a change made everywhere you look! Colourful insoles with Nike Sportswear's Sunburst graphic and midsoles/outsoles that appear to be made of Nike Grind rubber complete the look.
At the time of writing, there's no official word on when this disruptive Dunk will shake up the sneakersphere. However, release info is likely to surface soon!
