The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 Slithers in Some Snakeskin Textures
There are a lot of Nike Dunks out there right now, which is probably the cause behind some market fatigue with certain sneakerheads. As such, some that still enjoy the model but don’t want to look like everybody else are turning to alternatives that still emulate the general Dunk shape. Enter the Dunk Low Disrupt 2, a pretty clever play by the Swoosh to give customers the idea that they’re not like the others, while lining their Beaverton coffers with more cold, hard cash. Here’s an upcoming colourway that takes a simple black and white combo but adds some jade and snakeskin textures as a point of difference.
Per its name, the Dunk Low Disrupt 2 disrupts the traditional design of the Dunk upper. Similarly to the Dunk Scrap, extra elements are added to warp the pattern into something not seen before on the model. Think unstitched edges and floating panels, big Swooshes added via single stitch lines, smaller embroidered ones, plus extra eyelet loops on the forefoot for custom lacing. These components are starkly seen in the black and white colourway, which aforementioned incorporate snakeskin texture via the black sections. There’s also a bit of green snake on the heels and random stitches here and there, plus a red mini mid Swoosh.
