The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 Messes With the ‘Duke’ Colourway
With the endless onslaught of Nike Dunk releases possibly beginning to cause some fatigue in the market, sneakerheads are looking for alternatives to the top seller while staying in familiar waters. By offering a remixed version in the Dunk Low Disrupt 2, consumers can feel like they’re buying something different and also not quite as hyped as the regular Dunk. And it’s great for Nike too: more money in the bank. An upcoming colourway of this unconventional model sees the familiar ‘Duke’ collegiate combo applied to the detailed silhouette.
The Dunk Low Disrupt 2, as its name suggests, disrupts the regular pattern of the Dunk design, mostly in the upper. Like its loose relative in the Dunk Scrap, this model augments additional elements to create a customised look. This includes unstitched edges, resulting in floating panels; massive Swoosh outlines stitched directly into the sides of the shoes, paired with smaller embroidered logos; and even an additional eyelet on the lateral forefoot for an extra lacing option. These elements are highlighted with a two-toned blue and white colourway reminiscent of the ‘Duke’ from the Dunk’s original run of college team issues from the mid 1980s.
Keep an eye out for this Dunk Low Disrupt 2 in coming months.
