Nike have officially unveiled the Doernbecher Freestyle 2023 Collection! Their yearly initiative with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital provides those receiving treatment with the opportunity to create designs for Nike footwear, apparel and equipment, which are then auctioned off as a fundraising effort. Since its inception in 2004, the partnership has raised almost $31 million for the hospital.

Designs in the 2023 collection include an Air Foamposite One by 11-year-old Coley Miller, an Air Huarache by 13-year-old Dario Villaseñor Valdivia, an Air Max 90 by 15-year-old Emerson Harrell, a Zoom Vomero 5 by 10-year-old Jaren Heacock, an Air Presto by 12-year-old Kylee Young, and an Air Jordan 1 Low by 15-year-old Riddhi Mahajan.

Prices range from $100 to $230, and 100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the hospital.

You can learn more about each designer and the inspirations behind their shoe on the OHSU Foundation’s website here.

There’s no official release date for this collection just yet, but it’s likely to hit SNKRS in early 2023. Stay locked to SF for updates as they surface!
