That’s right: under their new launch strategy SNKRS Reserve, are now making their high-heat product available before it's been manufactured. For the better part of the 2020s, one question has been on 'heads lips: ‘Why don’t Nike do pre-orders?’ Well, ask no more.

Introduced this weekend, SNKRS Reserve is a pre-order program that allows the most fanatical fans the chance to order their sneakers before models even hit the manufacturing line. SNKRS Reserve allows Nike to solve issues with supply, ensuring the right number of pairs are produced, and lets customers purchase without the hassle of entering a raffle or hoping the sneaker gods are on their side on release day. Nike have provided a caveat stating that reservations are limited, so it is unclear how many pairs in a given release will be available. However, as long as you act fast and are willing to wait for your pair to be constructed, taking Ls could be a thing of the past.

You will be able to access and make your reservation through QR codes which will link directly to the product page. Once your reservation is approved your card will be charged and your shoes shipped upon completion of the manufacturing process.

Nike have not said how often the SNKRS Reserve process will be used. The pre-order system is likely to see fewer deadstock pairs available post-release, so consider that when deciding if you want to reserve a pair.
