have published their latest Sustainable Business Report with the stunning claim that 75 per cent of all Swoosh-branded footwear and apparel contains recycled material.

One of the biggest ways Nike is pushing towards sustainability is in the construction of Air units. Every unit is reportedly made from at least 50 per cent recycled waste. The unit in particular is made from more than 70 per cent recycled waste, and the unit a staggering 75 per cent. Nike also claim to use more recycle polyester than anyone else in the industry and divert more than 95 per cent of manufacturing waste from landfills.

Nike pledge to continue reducing their environmental impact in the years to come, shifting to 100 per cent renewable energy in the USA by 2019 and worldwide by 2025.
