The Nike Book 1 Will Debut in 2024

This article was originally published on September 8, 2023.

Update September 14, 2023: After months of teasing, Nike have officially unveiled the Nike Book 1. The first signature sneaker for Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker is inspired by his game and style off the court.

Taking design inspirations from the Air Force 1, Blazer, and Air Jordan 1, the Book 1 brings lifestyle elements and blends them with performance. Opting for more traditional materials using canvas, leather, and twill on the upper for durability, the Book 1 in the midsole features Cushlon 2.0 with a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel.

Booker said, 'Early on, we landed on the phrase “future classic". At the beginning of the design process, we landed on the idea of the shoe combining lifestyle and performance worlds. The goal was to create something that would be timeless.’

The Nike Book 1 is set to debut early 2024 in four different colourways. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.

Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker is generating plenty of hype for his inaugural signature shoe, the Nike Book Chapter 1. Recently spotted on Drake as part of his megalithic ‘It’s All a Blur’ tour, it’s not the model’s only connection to the hip hop industry, with fellow hip hop luminary J. Cole also featured as part of the shoe promo video earlier this week.

We’ve now got a look at an upcoming colourway inspired by Drake’s ‘All the Dogs’ LP. The apricot colourway is the second rendition teased (after the triple black ‘Wear Test’ was shared). Housed in what looks like a special edition box, it’s pure speculation as to what this early seeding kit may contain, but a collector’s edition version of ‘All the Dogs’ is surely not out of the question.

Booker now joins fellow Swoosh and Jordan Brand teammates Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum, who both recently unveiled their own signature silhouettes.

Last year, Devin Booker inked a long-term extension with Nike that will see him rep the brand until 2029.
