The latest model from the team at Nike SB, the Blue Ribbon originally appeared in April.

Carving a line between running and skateboarding technology, the model is inspired by the legendary Nike Cortez of 1972. Aesthetically reminiscent of sacai’s recent Cortez treatment, the design blueprints obviously pull from the zeitgeist-defining Japanese label, the silhouette even earning the moniker ‘sacai-lite’ in some circles online.

Constructed in a mix of leather and suede, the latest colourway to arrive is a ‘Navy Gum’ rendition that extols some of the heritage characteristics of the OG Cortez – much like the debut Blue Ribbon colourway. Emboldened by gum rubber outsoles, the SB Blue Ribbon also features a modernised React foam drop-in insole that’s viewable through a translucent window on the midsole.

Look for the Nike Blue Ribbon SB ‘Navy Gum’ to release in the coming weeks.
