Nike Announces Air Manufacturing Innovation Facility in Arizona
To keep up with the ongoing demand for , have announced a new Air Manufacturing Innovation (Air MI) facility in Goodyear, Arizona.
Up to 500 full-time jobs could be created as a result of the expansion, with Team Swoosh looking to invest at least $184 million towards the project.
Building renovations will begin in the coming weeks, and we could see Nike Air soles coming out of the facility as soon as early 2020.
‘The expansion of Air MI in Arizona helps us keep pace with the growing demand for Nike Air and also greatly increases the size of our US manufacturing footprint,’ says Eric Sprunk, Nike’s COO.
The new Arizona facility represents Nike’s third manufacturing centre location dedicated to Nike Air, adding to recently expanded facilities in Oregon and Missouri.
