Nike have a number of big anniversaries to celebrate in 2022, one of which is the Air Trainer 1 turning 35. The brand's original cross-training shoe, the Air Trainer 1 was conceptualised by Tinker Hatfield, made famous by tennis wild child John McEnroe and has even lived a second life as a Nike SB silhouette! One of the colourways we can expect to see next year is the 'Coriander', a brand-new style with some rugged, hike-ready details.

Officially dubbed 'Coriander/Ashen Slate/Wheat/Light Sienna', this Air Trainer 1 mixes a multitude of tan shades and a smorgasbord of textiles atop its upper. Its signature details are provided by an orange forefoot buckle that replaces a standard strap and a wide swath of hi-vis reflective hits on the forefoot, Swoosh and midfoot alike. Sizable pull tabs, classic midsoles and small pastel pink/blue hits complete the look.

With the Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 collection being postponed (and, for all we know, cancelled for good) after the tragic events at November's Astroworld festival, Nike's rollout plan for the Air Trainer 1 has definitely been juggled, but you can still expect the 'Coriander' to hit shelves next year for $140.
