Update December 22, 2023: Nike's Air More Uptempo 'Olympic' has a rumoured release date of August 11, 2024, which is when the Paris Olympic Games finishes. An official release announcement hasn't been made just yet, so stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.

Following the rumour of an Air Jordan 6 ‘Olympic’ retro for 2024 comes the news from Sneaker Files that the ‘Olympic’ colourway will also grace the Nike Air More Uptempo. The two iterations will both be released in the Northern Hemisphere’s Fall 2024 to celebrate the Olympic Games in Paris, which starts in July.

This is a fitting model for the commemoration, as Scottie Pippen wore the ‘Olympic’ Air More Uptempo in the 1996 Summer Games held in Atlanta when Team USA won gold. The pair have been more lucky in the retro department compared to the AJ6, as it has a total of four retros, with the latter three coinciding with the year of the Games: 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

The ‘Olympic’ Uptempo features a full navy base, with white taking on the AIR overlays, toe, and top of the tongue. The white also fully wraps around the heel, with a jewelled Swoosh and Pippen’s number 8 embroidered on the heel with a gold trim. Red gets the branding accents, with appearances on the tongue and sole.

There’s no official release date for the Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Olympic’ other than that it will land in Nike’s Fall 2024 collection. Stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
